Your account is immediately deactivated (soft deleted):

During these 30 days:
- π You can log in anytime and click "Reactivate Account" to restore full access
- π§ You will receive reminder emails at days 7, 14, 21, and 28
- π¬ Your conversations are preserved but hidden from others
- π³ Paid subscription pauses during grace period (no charges)
- π± All your photos and preferences remain intact until permanent deletion

ποΈ Automatic Permanent Deletion (After 30 Days)
After 30 days, the following happens automatically:
- β All profile data is permanently erased from active databases
- β Photos and uploaded content are irreversibly deleted
- β Chat history is removed (other users will see "Deleted User")
- β Account credentials are invalidated β you cannot log in
- β You will need to create a new account to use Rishthe.com again
β οΈ This action is irreversible and cannot be undone.
π± How to Request Account Deletion
Option 1: Self-Service via App (Recommended)
Fastest & most secure method:
- Open the Rishthe.com app
- Go to Settings β Account Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your password
- Select a reason (optional)
- Click Request Deletion

Account is soft-deleted immediately. Permanent deletion in 30 days.
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email from your registered email address to:
support@rishthe.com
Subject: "REQUEST: Delete My Account - [Your Registered Email]"
Include: Your full name, registered email/phone, and a brief request.
β±οΈ Processing within 48 hours. Permanent deletion follows after 30 days.
π Reactivation During Grace Period
Changed your mind? Reactivate anytime within 30 days:
- Log in to your account using your usual credentials
- You'll see a banner: "Your account is scheduled for deletion. Reactivate?"
- Click Reactivate Account
- Your profile is restored immediately as it was before deletion
- You'll receive a confirmation email
- No data loss β all matches, messages, and photos return
Note: Reactivation is only possible within the 30-day grace period.
π Data Retention After Permanent Deletion (Legal Exceptions)
Even after permanent deletion, certain data may be retained for limited legal/security purposes:

π§ Reminder Emails During Grace Period
To ensure you don't lose your account accidentally, we send the following reminders:
- Day 1: Confirmation email β "Your account deletion request has been received"
- Day 7: Reminder β "7 days remaining to reactivate your account"
- Day 14: Reminder β "2 weeks until permanent deletion"
- Day 21: Final reminder β "9 days left to cancel deletion"
- Day 28: Last chance β "2 days remaining β reactivate now"
- Day 30: Confirmation β "Your account has been permanently deleted"
βΈοΈ How to Cancel Deletion Request
Within the 30-day grace period, you can cancel your deletion request anytime by:
- Just by Logging in
- Emailing support@rishthe.com with "CANCEL DELETION" in the subject line

After cancellation, your account works normally again with no data loss.
π° Paid Subscriptions & Refunds
When you request deletion:
- Your subscription is paused immediately (no new charges)
- If you reactivate within 30 days, your subscription resumes with remaining time
- If deletion becomes permanent, unused subscription time is not refunded automatically
- To request a refund, email support@rishthe.com within 14 days of deletion request

To request deletion of a minor's account:
- Email support@rishthe.com with subject: "Guardian Deletion Request"
- Provide proof of guardianship (birth certificate or court order)
- Include the minor's registered email/phone
We process guardian requests within 48 hours.
